Horror Extreme Blog - Another Crappy Sequel

Next off the SKY+ box is Pumpkinhead 2: Blood Wings. I vaguely remember enjoying the first Pumpkinhead so I had a slight excitement about watching this one, but I was very disappointed!

The storyline seemed to completely ignore everything that happened in the original. There were some quite innovative deaths but this was completely ruined by the big lump of inflexible piece of rubber that was dishing out the killings. If a slow moving rubbery demon was threatening my life I think I'd run, turn and give it the finger and then run some more… but the victims in this movie seemed to think the most sensible thing to do is stand still screaming and wait to be sliced into bits.

The ending was very poor; trying to capture the public's sympathy for the "evil demon", in fact I’m not going to say any more. Apparently the third instalment is better so I guess I’ll just go see that.
