Horror Extreme Blog - Another Asian Classic vs My Stoopid SKY box!

I haven’t watched a good Asian horror for ages (I've never seen a bad one… it’s just been a while). A friend from work had recommended Pulse and within a few days it came on SKY. It was probably a combination of it being late and the “special” cigarettes I was smoking but it freaked the living shit out of me!!!

I think the message that the movie was trying to get across is that with the culture of people doing all of their socializing via the internet whilst sat in front of a PC rather than going out and experiencing real life we may as well all be dead (maybe?!?!?). This in itself is a spooky concept but combined with the excellent use of sound and visuals it made for quite a disturbing experience. It wasn’t a gore filled shock kind of movie but rather the kind which makes you nervous whilst watching and has prepared you for some scary dream experiences.

But... Just as I was getting to the bit where I was either gonna see some tripped out ending or the moral of the story was going to be hammered home and all becomes clear... I get the "Recording has finished" message appear. The recording had been cut off and I was left in the realm of the unknown. Goddamit!!!
