Horror Extreme Blog - Dumplings Will Make You Think Twice Before Eating Chinese

I felt that there was becoming a hole in my horror movie collection which could only be filled by some Asian Horror, so I went a bought a couple of random Asian Horrors. The first movie to hit my DVD player was the intriguingly named "Dumplings" from the Hong Kong horror master Fruit Chan.

I wanted to see something a bit sick and twisted and my needs were suitably met. This is a very sick and twisted movie, in fact it was a f**king marvelously sick and twisted movie. If you’re partial to a bit of Asian Horror then you need, to see this!

I won't give too much away (although I might) but the story revolves around a young female entrepreneur who can cook youth-restoring dumplings and can also provide abortions (and she integrates the two lines of business seamlessly!!!)

This is the first horror movie which has ever made me gag, there was loads of attention to the sound of people eating plus the sickly suspense was maintained by hinting at what was going on but not being obvious for the first part of the movie and then full-on, in-your-face disgustingness towards the end. (It was definitely the movie that made me gag and was nothing to do with the bottle of red wine I’d consumed!)

Top notch... go and see it!
