Horror Extreme Blog - Mexican Werewolf in Texas

Posted on: 07/18/2007

Why do I spend my time watching crummy horror movies? The answer to that question is because occasionally the crummy horror movie turns out to be a good horror movie.

Mexican Werewolf in Texas is crummy. Not atrocious crummy but I did occasionally get the urge to fast-forward to the next horror scene. I only watched it because of the similarity in title to An American Werewolf in London.

It's a movie about Texan's living in the middle of nowhere being terrorised by "El Chupacabra" who has developed a taste for human blood. The mystery as to why turns out to be that his eyesight is poor and will attack a human if they smell of goats. WOW, what an amazing twist. There's humor but it's not that funny, there's gore but it's not that gory.

If you are into horror B-Movies then you may enjoy this but if you want werewolf movies then go for An American Werewolf in London.
