Horror Extreme Blog - More Horror from those Puppets

Puppetmaster 3 was strangely the best movie in the Puppetmaster franchise that I've seen. Usually horror movies have either totally lost the plot or are at least starting to go downhill by the third instalment, but for Puppetmaster it seems to just be getting started.

The movie starts with some gore, which is always a good indication of where a movie is going. The puppets played a much more active role and were quite sadistic and evil, lots more gore and no silly superstitious stuff.

The movie was a prequel to the other two movies (which strangely is often the way with the third horror movie) and explains the story of how Toulon became a bit twisted (due to the Nazi’s killing his wife) and how he began to use his puppets for revenge rather than entertainment.

The movie wasn't that brilliant and I still think it could have been a lot more over the top but I suppose for the time it must have been pretty scary.
