Horror Extreme Blog - Sick and Deranged (and the Cannibals are not Much Better)

Cannibal Holocaust is truly one very sick video nasty, it's a horrible and unnecessary movie, which is what makes it so good. When a horror movie leaves you with a feeling of disgust afterwards then the director has definitely done his job well!

The movie is based around some explorers that go searching for a lost cannibal tribe and never come back, another explorer goes into the jungle to find the missing people and finds only evidence that they are all dead, and their camera footage.

This movie is wrong for a number of reasons. The main one being that the first set of explorers are really nasty individuals, intent on exploiting the cannibal natives so they can get more exciting footage. They have no respect for the lives of the natives and brutally kill many of them and seem to really enjoy it.

The next reason is the savages eat each other although the director has made such a good job of making the explorers nasty that you kind of sympathize with the cannibals, and that’s a weird feeling to have.

And the third reason is the unnecessary mutilation of animals. There is a lot of debate as to whether the animals were really killed for this movie and it sure does look convincing.

Only watch this movie if you can handle truly disturbing horror, but of course you can or you wouldn’t even be reading this blog!
