Daria Nicolodi

'Daria Nicolodi' (born 19 June 1950) is an Italian actress and screenwriter. She was the long term partner of Italian director Dario Argento (they were never married), and is the mother of actress / director Asia Argento. Nicolodi has starred in several of Dario Argento's films including Deep Red, Tenebrae and Opera and co-wrote Argento's Suspiria. Nicolodi also worked with directors Mario Bava, Lamberto Bava, Luigi Cozzi, Michele Soavi, and Asia Argento. She continues to act and appears in Dario Argento's upcoming The Mother of Tears, the third film in a trilogy which began with Suspiria.
