Roberts Blossom
'Roberts Blossom' (born January 1, 1924) is an American actor and poet.
'Bartholomew Roberts Blossom' (he later dropped his first name professionally) was born in New Haven, Connecticut. He began acting on stage during the 1950s. During the 1960s, he formed Filmstage, a multimedia avante garde theatrical troupe.
Tall, thin, and with penetrating eyes, he has portrayed authority figures and cantankerous rural types in a variety of film and TV roles. As he grew older, Blossom was often typecast as crazy old men in films such as Home Alone and Christine.

* Deranged, as a killer based on Ed Gein
* The Great Gatsby, as Mr. Gatz, the father of Jay Gatsby
* Close Encounters of the Third Kind, as a farmer who has had several brushes with the paranormal
* Family Reunion, as Phil King
* The Hospital, as the patient Guernsey, who dies as a result of medical malpractice.
* Resurrection, as the estranged father of a woman who has had a near-death experience
* Home Alone, as Marley the alleged shovel slayer, who salts the snow in Kevin (Macaulay Culkin)'s suburban Chicago neighborhood
* Doc Hollywood, as a judge who sentences Michael J. Fox's character to perform community service but later pardons his case.
* Escape from Alcatraz, as Doc, an inmate with a fondness for painting
* Christine as George LeBay, the old man who sells Arnie Cunningham the famous 1958 Plymouth Fury Christine.
Blossom has retired from acting and lives in Berkeley, California, where he writes poetry. He has two children, a daughter (Debbie) and a son (Michael).
