Editorial Review - Description

Hollywood superstar Bruce Willis (ARMAGEDDON, THE SIEGE) brings a powerful presence to an edge-of-your-seat thriller from writer-director M. Night Shyamalan (Oscar(R)-nominee for Best Original Screenplay and Best Director) that critics are calling one of the greatest ghost stories ever filmed. When Dr. Malcolm Crowe (Willis), a distinguished child psychologist, meets Cole Sear (Oscar(R)-nominee Haley Joel Osment, Best Supporting Actor), a frightened, confused, eight-year-old, Dr. Crowe is completely unprepared to face the truth of what haunts Cole. With a riveting intensity you'll find thoroughly chilling, the discovery of Cole's incredible sixth sense leads them to mysterious places with unforgettable consequences!

"I see a dead format"

When Blu-rays are going for more than $15 for an old movie, they're going to go the way of the HD-DVD and d-theather tapes. It'll just take a bit longer. With real time high def VOD like VUDU, Sony had better realize that their "Betamax disks" are not going to be the cash cow they counted on for royalties. Bad move paying Warner Brothers all those millions to switch camps. Wouldn't be surprised to see bootleg Chinese HD-DVD's popping up for sale on the street (the actual one), looking as good for a fraction of the price. That being said, the movie is M. Nights best. Now if he'd only stop repeating the same themes over and over................

SHYAMALAN AT HIS BEST

A Customer Review by Geary A., Jones
Like your movies eerie? How about a movie that has great acting ( particularly by Bruce Willis, Haley Joel Osment, and Toni Collette ), and exceptionally, creepy atmospheric cinematography by the great Tak Fujimoto? Did I mention that it happens to be one of the best ghost stories ever?

If you are one of the few people in the 'civilized' world that has not seen Shyamalan's masterpiece, there is no time like the present.
