Chopping Mall definitely stands out as being one of the better b-movies of the 80's it was a cheaply made but fun horror flick. The special fx were quite good especially for the film's low budget and it has 80's scream queen Barbara Crampton who looks really hot in this film, the robots were pretty decent looking I mean they didn't even look that high tech but more like a 1950's sci fi film. The story is basic as a group of teens who are also mall employees decide to party after hours in a furniture store in the mall and it seems like the mall owners want to provide more security so they bring in some robots to patrol the area, the mall soon closes down and the teens are trapped inside and they soon get chased and killed by these robots or 'Killbots'. These new security robots have malfunctioned due to a lightning storm and have turned deadly but after killing someone they always keep saying "thank you, have a nice day" as if they were trying to be polite or something lol. The teens who are not very bright end up fighting for their lives and get some weapons from a sporting goods store called Peckinpah's ;-), the film has enough silly humor, gore (check out the cool head explosion!), nudity and in-jokes to make it worth watching and the characters were typical and dumb horny teenagers so it was alot of fun to watch especially Barbara Crampton as the ditsy blond she was great in this! the dialogue and synthesizer music were also typical of the 80's but I actually enjoyed this stuff. Cheesy idea and title but hey it works if you enjoy cheesy but great low budget 80's horror films then I highly recommend this.
Not the uncut version?

Has anyone in fact seen the full length 81 minute uncut version? I saw it only once on VHS several years ago and I don't believe it has been re-released uncut since.
