The ending.... wow. Totally worth the crazyness. Better than #2, but idk if anything was better than the first.
intelligently done

This is a well done horror film that makes you think. I liked how certain questions were answered following various clues in the film. I have not seen Saw part I, but this is definately better than Saw II.
This film definately compells the audience to think about deep issues. We all from time to time run into people who we feel have done us wrong and we fantasize about exacting revenge on them. Normal people would experience much emotional pain if and when they see another human being suffering regardless of what he has done. One of the premises of the film is that vengenge does nothing but increase one's emotional pain. Unlike the previous Saw film, the two main test subjects in the film had a choice to be better people than Jigsaw but choose not to. They were so consumed with rage and allowed it to get the best of them.
The people who were kidnapped and placed in various torturing/killing machines were objects of rage for the subjects. The kidnapped people had no control over their fate. Only the test subjects could stop the machines if they wanted to.
People may complain about films like this but if we read the news every day we see that people for the most part behave the same way (if not worse) as they do in this film. Most are under the false impression that vengenge solves anything. In the end of the film Jigsaw smiles as he is about to be killed, because of how rediculously predictable people are.
